59. Once A Leader, Always A Leader…….Right????

When you learn skills, you really don’t unlearn them.  You might be as proficient as you once were, but you still have them.  So, does that mean you are stuck always doing the same thing?  When you’re an auto mechanic, those are bankable skills but that doesn’t mean you want to fix everyone’s car in the neighborhood either.  On this week’s episode of the Leadership Lifestyle Podcast, we talk about how Leadership is different.  No, you won’t lead every little group you interact with, but you can contribute.  Leadership is a little bit different because it is behavioral.

You can’t be two different people behaviorally or you are faking who you are at some point.  The gift of leadership is two-fold.  One, you create other leaders.  The second, is that you can help just about any group of people solve problems, grow together and achieve goals.  If you’re an experienced Leader, you’re probably helping groups of people other than your work teams, and you don’t even realize it.  Once you do realize it, you can really be proactive in your ability to help others and continuously grow yourself.
